Peder Gjervaldsaeter holds a master of science degree in electrical engineering, specialized in information technology and medical technology. He has long experience of working with patents within the electro technical area, such as telecommunication, signal processing, control systems, andelectrical circuits. Peder also has experience from working with inventions within vehicle engineering, medical technology and general mechanical engineering. Inventions in the fields of encoding and modulation are also within his technical knowledge.
 
He has a solid experience of working with inventions and patents, and has also worked as a patent examiner at the Swedish Patent Office (PRV). Through his working experience as both a patent examiner and a patent attorney, he has a well developed sense for which inventions that may be patentable, and also how these inventions should be disclosed in an application in order to reach a granted patent having a broad scope of protection. Peder has a vast experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
 
He has also worked in a number of litigation cases for major companies in the industry.
 
Peder is willing to take an active interest in his client’s developments and challenges. He may be used within projects such that it fits the needs of the client, for example for identifying patentable inventions, for strategic consultation related to intellectual property, and for exploiting intellectual rights.
 
Peder is an authorized Swedish patent attorney and a European patent attorney, which means that he is entitled to represent clients before the European Patent Office (EPO).
 
Besides his technical education, Peder has also studied law, in particular patent, trademark, design, marketing, copyright and EU law, at the University. Peder has studied European patent law and practice in connection with his authorization as a European patent attorney.
 
Peder is fluent in German.
