Johan Starell is a lawyer with long and extensive experience of legal work within the whole spectrum of intellectual property.

He assists clients with qualified legal advice concerning the filing and prosecution of law suits, conflicts, conflict solutions, and legal analysis within trade marks, design, patents, copy right, marketing as well as domain names.  Johan is often performing as a legal representative in IP-law suits. In the patent related law suits he works in a team together with one of the firms experienced patent attorneys in order to give the client a complete coverage of competence for both the legal and the technical aspects. He further drafts or studies agreements within intellectual property, for instance license agreements, royalty agreements, collaboration agreements and secrecy agreements.

Johan also has an extensive experience of more practically orientated trade mark work such as strategic  overview of trade mark portfolios, clearance searches, watches and filing and prosecution of applications all over the world.

He often performs as a sounding board for clients when new trade marks are discussed  or when a new project is to be launched. It may concern anything from a new trade mark or a new design to a new product package or an advertising campaign.  Johan further makes sure at an early stage that relevant agreements are in place before certain measures are taken, for instance towards retailers, collaboration partners or inventors.

He has experience from work on behalf of the boards of  SPOF (The Swedish Patent Attorney Association) and SFIR (The Swedish association for Industrial Protection). Johan has also given lectures at the Stockholm University on community  trade marks.
