Patent Attorney

Ewa holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, with a focus on telecommunications.
 
Before joining Ehrner & Delmar she worked for several years at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV). Ewa worked as a patent examiner mainly within the fields of telecommunications, computer networks and security as well as with computer implemented inventions.
 
At PRV she participated in patent expert training and worked with PRV’s patent practice. Her experience as an examiner has given Ewa an in-depth understanding of what is required of a patent application for an inventive concept to be patentable and a good insight into what is important in order to achieve a strong patent.
 
Ewa has worked with both Swedish national applications and PCT applications and was responsible for the professional training of patent examiners within the PCT framework. She is therefore familiar with the rules and regulations that apply to both these types of applications. She also has extensive experience in novelty searches and how to find relevant prior art.
 
In addition, Ewa has a very solid technical background with 20 years in the telecom industry, where she worked mainly with mobile networks at Ericsson. Among other things, she worked with development of IMS-based systems and solutions, such as VoLTE, and was responsible for the systems' real-time characteristics such as capacity and Quality of Service (QoS). Ewa has further extensive experience of working with customer-specific requirements in time constrained projects.
